St. Maarten Zoological Park & Botanical Garden

The St. Maarten Zoo is the largest zoological park in the Caribbean. Come see hundreds of mammals, birds and reptiles and relax in the shady, tropical garden. The Zoo also have the largest playground on Sint Maarten. We offer tours, and our park is available for birthday parties and other events.

The zoo currently exhibits a wide variety of animals, including monkeys and other species of mammal and many types of birds including macaws, parrots and toucans. Our zoo has a reptile house and a bat house, as well as a petting zoo area and a large aviary that guests may enter. In addition to the exotic species we feature at the zoo, we have several local species, including the Red-footed Tortoise, the Anguilla Bank Amieva, the mongoose and the Green Iguana. Many birds and other animals from the nearby pond and wetlands visit the zoo each day as well.
